NACC opens assets account of “Sathit” after leaving the position of Finance Minister

NACC opens asset account of "Sathit" after leaving the position of Finance Minister on 27 Apr., has assets of 1,018 million baht. The National Anti-Corruption Commission has disclosed the assets of Mr. Settha Thavisin after he left the position of Finance Minister on April 27, 2024 and assumed the position on September 5, 2023. Mr. Settha and his spouse have total assets of 1,018,719,225 baht. Mr. Settha declared his assets as 659,205,182 baht, divided into 47 deposit accounts totaling 133,543,486 baht, 1 million baht in cash, 1,424,761 baht in investments, land in Khlong Toei and Phra Khanong Districts, Bangkok, valued at 158,400,000 baht, buildings and structures as condominiums in Nong Kae Subdistrict, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and a 3-story house in Khlong Toei, Bangkok, valued at 156,423,120 baht, vehicles as Aston Martin DB5 cars valued at 50,000,000 baht, rights and concessions of 22,673,114 baht, other assets valued at 135,740,700 baht, and an overdraft of 72,037 baht. In add ition, Mr. Settha reported a total income of 23,358,016 baht per year, divided into salary, wages and bonuses of 1,507,080 baht, old age pension of 49,848 baht, interest of 450,849 baht, benefits or returns from holding digital tokens of 139 baht, children's annual allowance of 20 million baht, income from court fees of 650,100 baht, and life insurance policy surrender value of 700,000 baht. And there are personal expenses per year of 15,553,679 baht, divided into personal expenses of 729,000 baht, household expenses of 163,500 baht, land and building tax of 4,679 baht, donations of 1,624,000 baht, and mother's support expenses of 5 million baht. For other assets of Mr. Settha, there are 38 watches worth 127,953,100 baht, 6 amulets and takruds worth 1,622,600 baht, 1 gold necklace worth 165,000 baht, 1 Louis Vuitton x Supreme chest worth 6 million baht. The assets of Mrs. Phakphilai Thavisin, spouse, total 359,514,043 baht, divided into cash 1,800,000 baht, deposits in 41 accounts totaling 41,171,313 baht, investments 55,425,723 baht, vehicles 2,050,000 baht, rights and concessions 748,107 baht, and other assets 258,318,900 baht. Ms. Pakpilai also reported an annual income of 24,707,591 baht, consisting of 52,200 baht from her old age pension, 528,716 baht from meeting and lecturer fees, 2,201,126 baht from her freelance profession (doctor), 711,561 baht in interest, 16,527 baht in dividends from the fund, 1 million baht from the sale of her assets (selling a Tesla Model Y Standard), 20 million baht from her dependent children, 170,400 baht from her life insurance policy surrender value, and 27,060 baht from her life insurance policy dividends. She reported annual expenses of 20,200,000 baht, consisting of 7 million baht for personal expenses, 13 million baht for travel, and 3 million baht in donations. Other assets include 32 watches worth 86,932,900 baht, 48 luxury bags worth 7,010,500 baht, 2 amulets of unestimated value, 5 sets of clothes worth 2,830,000 baht, and jewelry including 3 pearl brooches worth 100,000 baht, 31 diamond, pearl, and diamond-studded nail bracelets worth 52,317,000 baht, 58 diamond, ruby, emerald, pearl, and clip-on earrings worth 31,865,600 baht, 37 diamond, sapphire, ruby, and emerald rings worth 46,872,900 baht, and 2 sets of gold pendants with gems and diamond pendants worth 235,000 baht. The previous opening of Mr. Settha's asset account on June 17, which was an additional asset filing, reported the filing of 310 "digital token" assets worth 2,907 baht and a deposit of 197,048 baht, deposited at ERX Co., Ltd., totaling his and his spouse's assets of more than 1,020 million baht.
