Bangkok: NACC consolidates 40 million baht bribe case against "Chaiyachanok" to prevent crackdown on online gambling websites. Mr. Surapong Intarathaworn, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), acting as Secretary-General and NACC spokesperson, stated that, following media reports, the Crime Suppression Division has forwarded the investigation file to the NACC for further action in accordance with its duties and authority regarding the 40 million baht bribe case involving Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society. According to Thai News Agency, the facts indicate that the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) sent a letter dated October 22, 2025, to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) regarding a complaint filed by investigators at Division 1 of the CSD requesting legal action against an individual who would pay 40 million baht to the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society to prevent the suppression of online gambling websites. The NACC recei ved the letter on October 28, 2025. The circumstances of the CSD's submission to the NACC are consistent with the allegations the NACC received on October 2, 2025. Therefore, the two allegations are currently being considered for concurrent action.
