MRTA reveals progress on the Pink Line and the Purple Line.

Bangkok, MRTA updates construction progress of the Pink Line Project, extension, and the Purple Line Project, Tao Poon - Rat Burana (Kanchanaphisek Ring Road) section, as of the end of May 2024. Pink Line MRT Extension Project, Si Rat Station - Muang Thong Thani Section There is 63.81 percent progress on civil works, 44.67 percent progress on the electric rail system, and 57.37 percent overall progress. The project has a total distance of approximately 3 kilometers and has 2 stations: IMPACT Muang Thong Thani Station (MT01) and Muang Thong Thani Lake Station (MT02) as planned is expected to be completed and open for service by 2025. The Purple Line Project, Tao Poon - Rat Burana (Kanchanaphisek Ring Road) has overall civil work progress of 33.82 percent. Construction work is divided into 6 contracts, each of which has progress as follows: Contract 1, Tao Poon - National Library section. Contract 2, National Library - Phan Fah section, has 40.88% progress. Contract 3, Phan Fah - Saphan Phut section, has 30.75% pr ogress. Contract 4, Saphan Phut - Dao Khanong section, has 32.83% progress. 5, Dao Khanong - Khru Nai section, has progressed at 14.88 percent, and Contract 6 is the design and construction of a rail system along the project route. Progress is 21.78 percent. The project has a total distance of approximately 23.6 kilometers with 17 stations. According to the plan, it is expected to be open for service within 2028.
