NONG KHAI: The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives has launched the project 'United Loyalty, Fusion of Love, Continuing Sustainable Development, Honoring His Majesty', which includes the distribution of rubber tree title deeds to expand farmers' access to capital sources. The project also aims to leverage rubber innovation to reduce costs and increase income for rubber farmers. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Ekkapab Polsue, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, was designated by Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, to officiate the opening ceremony of this significant initiative. The event took place at the Nong Khai Rubber Research Center and the Central Rubber Market Office in Nong Khai Province. The project seeks to honor His Majesty the King on his 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary by applying the royal philosophy of 'Rubber Gardening for Civilized Agriculture'. This philosophy promotes a mixed rubber farming approach that balances 'Con tinuing' good practices, 'Preserving' traditional methods, and 'Developing' new innovations. The project underscores the promotion of new rubber species technology, specifically the RRIT 3904 variety, developed by the Rubber Research Institute, RAOT. Additionally, it emphasizes knowledge dissemination on rubber innovations to help reduce plantation management costs, address environmental issues, and add value from rubber waste. Notable innovations include rubber tapping robots and rubber biodiesel distillation machines utilizing pyrolysis systems. During the event, the Ministry's spokesperson, alongside other executives, distributed 904 RRIT 3904 rubber seedlings and rubber tree title deeds to 20 farmers. Furthermore, agricultural title deeds were granted to 30 farmers to enhance their opportunities for accessing agricultural capital. Mr. Ekkapab remarked, "The Ministry of Agriculture, represented by the Minister, will continue to study development approaches and expand agricultural trade opportunities so that farmers will continue to have a better life." Rubber tree title deeds serve as documentation of ownership, enabling farmers to use them as collateral for loans. This facilitates access to funds for occupational purposes and enhances income potential through carbon credit trading rights, along with access to government assistance measures.
