Bangkok: The Minister of the Prime Minister's Office presented certificates to individuals who successfully completed a training program focused on enhancing regional public relations networks to align with new media trends in the digital age.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, the Minister to the Prime Minister's Office, presided over the certificate presentation ceremony. This event was part of the seminar titled "Improving Network Communication Efficiency in the Northern Digital Age," which is a segment of the Regional Public Relations Network Capacity Development Project. The seminar took place on August 25-26, 2025, at the Khum Phukam Hotel in Chiang Mai Province. Its primary objective was to establish and nurture both new and emerging youth networks, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to leverage technology for public relations purposes. These networks are expected to play a significant role in effectively disseminating government information to communities.
The Minister emphasized that this initiative acts as a networking platform for citizens and youth in the North, highlighting the importance of responsible media usage in today's rapidly changing environment, where personal media creation is widespread due to the ubiquity of mobile phones. The training is designed to empower participants to convey accurate information to the public through various media channels. Additionally, graduates of the program will assist the government in public relations efforts and help prevent the spread of fake news.
In the northern and northeastern provinces, a total of 3,082 individuals across 37 provinces completed the training. The program is set to continue in the central region, with sessions scheduled in Bangkok on September 4-5.
