Middle-Aged Man Repeatedly Evades Paying for Gas in Chonburi, Police Urged to Act.

Chonburi: A naughty middle-aged man drove his sedan into a gas station in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, and did not pay twice in a row, causing trouble for the employees who had to take responsibility instead. He urged the police to make an arrest.

According to Thai News Agency, reporters went to a gas station in Pong Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. The gas station employee said that the perpetrator drove a grey-black sedan and came to fill up his tank like any other customer. He chose to use the service late at night.

The first incident occurred on November 20th at approximately 2:30 a.m. when the perpetrator filled his tank with 500 baht worth of gasohol and handed over an expired credit card for payment. Upon discovering the card’s invalidity, the perpetrator fled the scene. The gas station subsequently checked the name and surname on the card and filed a police report as evidence.

On December 3rd at approximately 12:38 a.m., the same individual returned to the gas stati
on, repeating his crime by filling up with another 500 baht of gas. This time, he pretended to pay, leaving the employees initially confused and believing he might have paid another staff member before driving away without settling the bill.

Ms. Surachana, the 26-year-old gas station manager, expressed frustration over the repeated offenses, noting the burden on employees who must compensate for the losses. She has provided evidence, including CCTV footage and credit card information, to the authorities. With details like the car registration number and credit card information, it is anticipated that the police will soon apprehend the perpetrator to prevent further incidents.
