People in these areas should be careful of the dangers of heavy to very heavy rain. In Bangkok and its vicinity, there is a 70% chance of thunderstorms and heavy rain in some areas. The Meteorological Department forecasts that in the next 24 hours, Thailand will experience more rain and some areas will experience heavy rain, with some areas in the upper North, upper Northeast, and the western coast of the South. People in the aforementioned areas should beware of the dangers of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially on hillsides near waterways and lowlands. This is because the monsoon trough has moved down across the upper North and upper Northeast, along with the southwest monsoon blowing across the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, which is getting stronger. Meanwhile, there will be a low-pressure cell in the upper part of Laos. The waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are getting stronger. The upper Andaman Sea will have waves 2-3 meters high and in areas with thunderstorms, the waves will be higher than 3 meters. The upper Gulf of Thailand will have waves approximately 2 meters high and the lower Andaman Sea will have waves 1-2 meters high. Far from the shore and in areas with thunderstorms, the waves will be higher than 2 meters. Sailors in the aforementioned areas should sail with caution and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should refrain from sailing from the shore during this period.
