Meteorological Department Reports Little Rain Across Thailand with Heavy Showers in Upper North

Bangkok: The Meteorological Department reported that Thailand will experience little rain, but heavy rain will continue in some areas of the upper northeastern region. Bangkok and its vicinity will experience a 20% chance of thunderstorms.

According to Thai News Agency, over the next 24 hours, Thailand will see minimal rainfall, but the upper northeastern region will continue to face heavy rain. Residents in these areas are advised to remain cautious due to the potential dangers from heavy and accumulated rainfall. This weather pattern is attributed to a low-pressure area over northern Vietnam, combined with a weak southwest monsoon affecting the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.

The Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are experiencing weak wave conditions. In the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, waves are expected to reach heights of 1-2 meters, with areas experiencing thunderstorms seeing waves exceeding 2 meters. The lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf of Thailand will have waves approximately 1 meter high and up to 2 meters offshore, with higher waves anticipated in storm-affected areas. Mariners are advised to proceed with caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms.

For Bangkok and its surrounding areas, thunderstorms are predicted with a 20% chance of rain. The minimum temperature is expected to be between 26-27 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature may range from 34-36 degrees Celsius.
