“Jiraporn” invites Thai people to follow the “Ceremony for the Preparation of Holy Water”

Jiraporn' invites Thai people to follow the ancient royal tradition of 'the ceremony of making holy water' to offer to the King in the auspicious year. Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, Minister to the Prime Minister's Office and Chairwoman of the Public Relations Department for the Celebration Activities on the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty the Queen's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 28 July 2024, revealed the schedule for the holy water preparation ceremony, which is one of the important activities to take place in July 2024. Ms. Jiraporn revealed that the ritual ceremony of collecting water from 108 sacred water sources in every province across the country is an ancient royal tradition to present to His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on July 28, 2024. On July 4, 2024, the governors of every province organized a ritual ceremony to collect water from the sacred water sources, which was attended by heads of government agencies, executives of local a dministrative organizations, kamnans, village headmen, and local people to express their loyalty in this auspicious year. Ms. Jiraporn said that tomorrow (7 July) at 5:09 PM, every province will hold a ceremony to bless holy water and continue with a candlelight procession to celebrate the holy water on 8 July from 12:00 PM onwards. Then, there will be a celebration entertainment during 11-15 July 2024 at Sanam Luang before the holy water jars will be brought to the Ministry of Interior for safekeeping in preparation for the holy water blessing ceremony at Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangklararm on 25 July 2024. Then, the holy water will be brought from Wat Phra Chetuphon to Amarin Winitchai Throne Hall on the morning of the auspicious birthday anniversary to be presented to His Majesty on the birthday anniversary on 28 July 2024.
