Immunity: ‘Nara Model’ Success in Drug Addiction Treatment

Narathiwat: Narathiwat is one of 10 provinces piloting a special project to solve problems in the area to make people happy and to rehabilitate drug addicts by using religious principles in treatment, or the 'Nara Model', which is different from other places. After treatment, it was found that many did not return to drug use.

According to Thai News Agency, the 'Nara Model' incorporates religious teachings as a core component of its rehabilitation program. This unique approach is part of a broader initiative aimed at addressing the social issues associated with drug addiction in the province. The model's efficacy is highlighted by the fact that a significant number of participants have successfully abstained from returning to substance use post-treatment.

The project's primary goal is to enhance the well-being of the community by reducing drug dependency through spiritual guidance and support. This initiative is part of a larger effort to improve the quality of life for residents in the region, focusing on sustainable recovery methods.
