Bangkok: The government has confirmed that the "Half-Half Plus" program will remain active until December 31, 2025, allowing participants to spend without any minimum daily limit. The remaining balance can be rolled over for use the next day.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwattana, Deputy Government Spokesperson, addressed misinformation circulating on social media, which suggested that spending less than 200 baht daily would result in lost eligibility. She clarified that this information is false, reaffirming that participants can utilize the full amount without a daily minimum, and any unused balance will automatically carry over to subsequent days during the program's duration.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, the government is focusing on stimulating the grassroots economy by reducing living costs and generating income for small businesses. Citizens can engage in the program by using their 50% co-payment rights through the G-Wallet app at participating establishments such as barbershops, Thai massage parlors, laundromats, restaurants, cafes, and delivery services.
The Deputy Government Spokesperson emphasized that citizens should not worry about losing their rights if they spend less than 200 baht per day. She encouraged full utilization of the program to help distribute income across communities and strengthen small businesses, aligning with government policy to bolster the grassroots economy.
