Four More Bodies Recovered from Collapsed Building in Zone C

Bangkok: Another grim discovery was made under the rubble of a collapsed building in Zone C as rescuers found four more bodies. These bodies have been sent to the Police General Hospital's forensic department for identification, while efforts are underway to clear the debris with the aid of a giant crane.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anwut, a representative of the Ruamkatanyu Foundation volunteer rescuers, disclosed that heavy machinery was deployed to open up the area since yesterday afternoon. A vertical cavity was discovered above Zone C, prompting rescuers to lower themselves into the space. Initially, only a lingering smell was detected, but further exploration with cameras revealed clothing belonging to the missing persons. Through persistent efforts, the rescue team managed to recover four bodies, previously unaccounted for, from the site. The area was heavily laden with cement and rock fragments, demanding extreme caution from the rescuers.

Today, a powerful crane capable of lifting up to 1,000 tons is being coordinated to remove a massive concrete slab. This move is expected to expedite the search for more missing individuals. In parallel, a comprehensive search operation is being conducted in Zone ABD, utilizing both military and police dogs. The area has been meticulously opened by heavy machinery, and any suspicious sites identified by the rescue team are being marked for further investigation.

This morning, rescue operations continue in earnest near the fire escape in Zone C. Coordination is ongoing with the Bang Sue Police Station investigators and the Police General Hospital's forensic department to confirm the identities of the recovered bodies.
