Food Delivery Platform Supports Government’s “Half-Half” Economic Scheme

Bangkok: A food delivery platform is backing the government’s “Half-Half” scheme, which is seen as a potential boon for small businesses and the general public. The platform is preparing to roll out a campaign aimed at boosting economic activity.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Yod Chinsuphakul, CEO of LINE MAN Wongnai, expressed optimism about the “Half-Half” measure that the government plans to introduce to stimulate the economy towards the end of the year. He noted that while there are encouraging signs, the specific details of the scheme are pending approval from a Cabinet meeting. Chinsuphakul emphasized the positive reception from both society and restaurant owners and expressed hope for swift implementation. He believes the measure will have an immediate economic impact, benefiting small restaurants and reaching a broad segment of the population.

In the previous “Half-Half” initiative, nearly 100,000 stores participated on the food delivery platform, with 60-70% joining LINE MAN. The platform is poised to support the new project and intends to launch a campaign to further stimulate economic growth. While the reduction of GP and other potential measures are still under discussion, the final details of the project are anticipated to be revealed within the next two weeks. There is an expectation of increased merchant participation compared to the previous initiative, as many are eagerly awaiting such a project to revitalize their businesses.
