Fire in Chiang Rai City Center Burns 76-Year-Old Man to Death.


Chiang Rai: At approximately 5:35 a.m., Chiang Rai City Police, Chiang Rai Municipality Fire Department, and the Sirikorn Chiang Rai Disaster Relief Association mobilized water trucks to contain a fire at a house on the road at the entrance of Soi Ratchayotha, Ratchapracha Road, Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province. It was a single-story wooden house and the fire was raging fiercely. It took officers approximately 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. Upon inspection, they found the body of Mr. Manit, aged 76, the owner of the house.

According to Thai News Agency, from inquiries, it was found that Mr. Manit lived alone in the house. In the early morning, villagers saw smoke coming from the house and quickly notified the authorities. Mr. Manit was still trapped in the house when the fire broke out, leading to his tragic death.
