After the incident, he fled. Initially, from questioning the perpetrator's younger sister, she stated that before the incident, her older brother often had hallucinations and was a lways paranoid that people would hurt him, to the point that he had had conflicts with people in the neighborhood many times. The police had arrested him and taken him for testing, but no drugs were found. However, her older brother smoked marijuana. The injured and deceased were mechanics for Harley motorcycles, who lived next door. At the time of the incident, she saw her older brother walking out to stand in front of the house. After a while, she heard a sound like people arguing. When she turned to look, she saw that the mechanic's younger brother had been stabbed in the face. Then, the injured man ran to call his older brother, who was repairing a motorcycle in the house. Her older brother was standing in the parking lot in front of the house. After a while, the deceased ran in and told her older brother to put down the knife. At that moment, the two of them rushed at each other before her older brother stabbed the mechanic in the torso until he collapsed in a pool of blood. After that, her older brother fled.
