Director-General Supports Khok Sung District Officials with Supplies and Encouragement

Khok sung: The Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration visited Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province, to provide supplies and encouragement to administrative officials, confirming that work at all levels is proceeding according to the operational plan.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nirat Phongsitthaworn, Director-General, conveyed the concerns of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior to those working in Khok Sung District, including the governor, deputy governors, district officials, volunteers, kamnans, and village headmen. He acknowledged the strength of their work, emphasizing the Ministry of the Interior's role in supporting border troops in protecting sovereignty. Administrative forces must remain ready, and any deficiencies will be reviewed to ensure full preparedness.

The Director-General also addressed the ongoing provincial-level work between Thailand and Cambodia, noting the latest response that Cambodians must evacuate the area by October 10th. During a meeting, the Governor of Sa Kaeo expressed concerns which the Director-General acknowledged, but deferred for the governor to address directly. He also highlighted the Ministry of Interior's ongoing support to officials in all seven provinces along the Thai-Cambodian border, ensuring readiness by replacing and replenishing necessary items.

In managing the border situation, the administrative sector collaborates with the military and supports existing plans. International negotiation procedures are in place, and all units are working for Thailand. Public assurance is provided that operations are advancing, with the conclusion of events by October 10th to be addressed by the governor.

During the visit, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, expressed concern for public safety, urging enhanced preparedness of officers. He routinely checks inventory levels and replenishes missing equipment, particularly in areas facing unusual circumstances. Confirming alignment with operational plans, he is ready to support the military, acknowledging the pressures on ground personnel, and encourages them to perform their duties diligently.
