DDPM Delivers Relief Supplies to Flood Victims in Singburi

Singburi: The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has initiated relief efforts for those affected by the recent flooding in Singburi Province, where the overflow of the Chao Phraya River has impacted thousands.

According to Thai News Agency, the flooding has affected residents in In Buri, Phrom Buri, and Mueang Districts, spanning across five sub-districts and 15 villages. A total of 2,194 individuals from 833 households have been impacted, with homes outside the embankments suffering the brunt of the overflow.

The DDPM has tasked the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Region 16 Center in Chainat with distributing 150 family kits, sourced from the ASEAN Distance Assistance Warehouse (DELSA) in Chainat Province. These kits, containing emergency supplies, are specifically aimed at vulnerable individuals such as the elderly, the sick, and those unable to care for themselves in the Chi Nam Rai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, In Buri District. In total, 250 kits are set to be distributed in the area.

Additionally, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center, Region 16, Chainat, has deployed a kitchen truck to the Chi Nam Rai Subdistrict. This truck is tasked with preparing and distributing food to the flood victims, providing essential support during this challenging time.
