Bangkok: The Meteorological Department has forecasted that the northern and northeastern regions of Thailand will experience cool weather in the morning accompanied by strong winds. The department has also reported that the eastern and lower central regions will see light rain in some areas, while Bangkok and its vicinity can expect light rain as well. According to Thai News Agency, a high-pressure area or moderate cold air mass from China is responsible for these conditions, as it covers the upper part of Thailand and the South China Sea. This will result in cool morning weather with strong winds in the northern and northeastern regions. Meanwhile, an easterly wind affecting the eastern and lower central regions is expected to bring light rain to those areas. The public is advised to take care of their health due to the changing weather conditions. The northeast monsoon is intensifying over the Gulf of Thailand and the South, leading to heavy to very heavy rain in some southern areas. Stronger waves are an ticipated in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea, with wave heights reaching about 2 meters in the lower Gulf and 1-2 meters in the upper Gulf and Andaman Sea. Thunderstorm-affected areas may see waves exceeding 2 meters. Sailors are urged to exercise caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms. For Bangkok and its surrounding areas, the weather will be partly cloudy with some light rain. The minimum temperature is expected to be between 24-26 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature could reach 33-34 degrees Celsius.
