Bangkok: The Meteorological Department has announced that the upper part of Thailand will experience morning fog and a slight increase in temperatures by 1-2 degrees Celsius. Despite this increase, the northern and northeastern regions will continue to see cool morning weather. In Bangkok and its surrounding areas, temperatures will similarly rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the lower southern region is expected to encounter increased rainfall, with some areas experiencing heavy showers.
According to Thai News Agency, the weather forecast for the next 24 hours indicates that the high-pressure area or cold air mass over the upper part of Thailand is weakening. This weakening will result in morning fog and a slight rise in temperatures by 1-2 degrees Celsius. Despite these changes, the northern and northeastern regions will maintain cool morning conditions.
On mountaintops and hilltops, the weather is expected to be cool to cold, with the lowest temperatures ranging from 10-17 degrees Celsius. People i
n these areas are advised to take precautions for their health due to the changing weather and to be cautious of potential fire hazards in the dry conditions. Travelers should be wary of foggy areas.
The northeast monsoon affecting the Gulf of Thailand and the South, combined with a low-pressure cell in the lower South China Sea, is expected to bring more rain, including heavy showers, to the lower South. The lower Gulf of Thailand will experience moderate waves, with heights reaching 1-2 meters. In regions with thunderstorms, waves may exceed 2 meters, and sailors are advised to avoid these areas.
Furthermore, from December 3-5, 2024, the low-pressure cell in the lower South China Sea is predicted to move through the lower South and Malaysia, crossing into the lower Andaman Sea and the Strait of Malacca. Coupled with the moderate-strength northeast monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and the South, this will result in heavy to very heavy rain in some parts of the lower South.
In Bangkok and its surroundings
, morning fog is anticipated, along with a temperature increase of 1-2 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is expected to be between 23-26 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature may reach 32-35 degrees Celsius.
