Chiang mai: Chiang Mai Province has opened a command center to prepare for Typhoon Wipha as rain is predicted to begin this afternoon. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has established a war room to closely monitor the situation.

According to Thai News Agency, the command center in Chiang Mai will operate a 24-hour hotline at 1567 to facilitate incident reporting and assistance requests. With heavy rainfall expected tomorrow, especially in the upper northern region, preparations are underway to manage potential impacts.
