Chiang Mai: As the ballot boxes close for the Provincial Administrative Organization elections, Chiang Mai residents continue to exercise their rights. With less than 2 hours left before the polls close for the election of mayor and provincial administrative organization members in Chiang Mai, there are still people coming out to exercise their rights, including the younger generation who are interested in local elections.

According to Thai News Agency, the final stretch of the election of mayors and members of the Provincial Administrative Organization saw many polling stations in both Chiang Mai and Lamphun with people coming out at intervals to vote. At polling station 7 at Sri Arun Market, San Kamphaeng District in Chiang Mai, there were 1,200 eligible voters. Observations indicated that more than half had already cast their votes, with a continued flow of people arriving at intervals. Some voters shared that they chose to vote in the afternoon due to work commitments and to avoid long waits.

Similarly, the four polling stations at Sala Angkaew in Chiang Mai University witnessed a steady turnout, reflecting the engagement of the younger generation in this local election.

In Lamphun Province, Mr. Ittiporn Boonprakong, Chairman of the Election Commission, inspected polling units at Ban Pa Sao School and Wat Ton Phueng, Tambon Umong, Mueang District. The atmosphere was active, with a continuous flow of voters and no violations of election laws reported.
