Chaos in 3 areas in Narathiwat, dozens of officials injured

Insurgents cause unrest in 3 areas in Narathiwat Province, injuring dozens of officials. The Narathiwat Province Relief Operations Center (NROC) received a report of a riot where bombs were planted at two electric poles while soldiers from the 4808th Infantry Company were passing by on Highway 4056, not far from the Rasapprai Gas Plant in Kuwa Village, Village No. 5, Riko Subdistrict, Suhai Padi District (on the border of Bangohume Village, Village No. 5, Kawa Subdistrict). Prof. Dr. Apinan Kongno The second incident occurred at 7:39 a.m., the Narathiwat Provincial Police Region 7 Center received a report from the Su-ngai Padi District Police Region 7 Center that an unknown number of assailants had planted bombs at the bridge connecting Ban Do Hae, V illage No. 3, Riko Subdistrict, and Ban Sue Dae, Village No. 7, Sako Subdistrict, Su-ngai Padi District, Narathiwat Province. This resulted in injuries to ranger soldiers from the 4808th Military Company and damage to a pickup truck. The injured were taken to Su-ngai Kolok Hospital. They included: Asst. Prof. Wutthichai Sutsai, 30 years old, has symptoms of tinnitus and chest tightness. Asst. Prof. Siriwat Sawiyam, 37 years old, has symptoms of tinnitus and chest tightness. Sergeant Major Amran Awae, 43 years old, has symptoms of tinnitus and chest tightness. Asst. Prof. Wichian Chobnam, 39 years old, has symptoms of tinnitus and chest tightness. Asst. Prof. Dr. Apinan Kongno, 35 years old, has symptoms of tinnitus and chest tightness. The property, a 4-door pickup truck, brand IZUZU, black, license plate 7 Kor 6860 Bangkok, was slightly damaged. And the third incident, the Provincial Police Region 7 Center was notified by the Su-ngai Padi District Police Region 7 Center at 10:00 a.m. that an unknown n umber of assailants had planted a bomb at the EOD officers (Yao Dong Unit), the forensic officers of Narathiwat Province, and the Narathiwat Security Investigation Team while they were investigating a bombing incident in Su-ngai Padi District, Narathiwat Province. The incident occurred on Highway 4056, Ban Taling Sung, Village No. 9, Tambon Su-ngai Padi, Amphoe Su-ngai Padi, Narathiwat Province. The incident resulted in 2 EOD officers (Yao Dong Unit) being injured and sent to Su-ngai Padi Hospital. They were: Pol. Lt. Col. Somchok Mankong, Senior Inspector (Investigation), Security Division, age 41 Police Senior Sergeant Major Anuphan Rodduang, age 37 The bronze Toyota Revo armored car was slightly damaged.
