Celebrating ‘Phu Phra Bat’, the 2nd World Heritage Site in Udon Thani Province

Udon Thani held a grand and spectacular celebration of Phu Phra Bat, the second World Cultural Heritage Site, with a large crowd of local residents at Phu Phra Bat Historical Park, Ban Phue District. Mr. Wanchai Kongkasem, Governor of Udon Thani Province, presided over the event, leading government agencies and private sectors to organize an official celebration ceremony for the 2nd World Cultural Heritage Site. On July 27, UNESCO announced Phu Phra Bat Historical Park in Udon Thani Province as a cultural world heritage site under the name 'Phu Phra Bat, Witness to the Sima Culture of the Dvaravati Period', making it the eighth world heritage site and the fifth cultural world heritage site in Thailand.
