Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has announced the cancellation of operations to and from Dipolog City from July 19 to 21 due to airport runway conditions. In an advisory posted Tuesday night, CEB said the surface of Dipolog Airport’s Runway 02 was damaged. “As safety is of paramount concern, operations are temporarily suspended until we receive verification that the runway is safe for landing and take-off,” it said. Based on the Manila International Airport Authority’s website, however, a Philippine Airlines flight has arrived Dipolog at 8:38 a.m. Wednesday. The CEB flights canceled are: July 19 5J 703/704: Manila – Dipolog – Manila 5J 705/706: Manila – Dipolog – Manila DG 6603/6604: Cebu – Dipolog – Cebu July 20 5J 703/704: Manila – Dipolog – Manila DG 6603/6604: Cebu – Dipolog – Cebu July 21 5J 703/704: Manila – Dipolog – Manila 5J 705/706: Manila – Dipolog – Manila DG 6603/6604: Cebu – Dipolog – Cebu Affected passengers may rebook or reroute any flight bound for Dipolog for free. Fare difference will be applied if the travel period is beyond 30 days from the original flight schedule. They could also refund their tickets, or store the full amount in a travel fund. Meanwhile, CEB also announced the mounting of recovery flights to Ozamiz from July 19 to 21.
