Burma Offers Royal Kathin Robes to Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan, Donations Surpass 2.6 Million Baht.

Suphan Buri: The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has presented royal Kathin robes for the year 2024 to Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan in a ceremony that saw donations exceed 2.6 million baht. His Majesty the King graciously bestowed the royal Kathin robes to the ministry, which were then presented by Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, the Minister of Social Development and Human Security, at the temple located in Mueang District, Suphan Buri Province. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa presided over the ceremony, which was attended by Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, along with other executives, civil servants, and officials from both central and local branches of the ministry. The total amount of donations collected for the offering of the royal Kathin robes reached 2,601,899 baht. In addition to the main ceremony, Mr. Varawut also led the wrapping of the cloth of Luang Pho To at Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan. During the event, he presented four scholarships to local educational institutions: Suphan Buri Sri Suwannaphum Buddhist College, Kanchanasut School, Wat Pa Lelai Kindergarten School, and Kanchanabhisek Wittayalai School in Suphan Buri.
