Burapha Force Adjusts Control Measures at Thai-Cambodian Border in Sa Kaeo Province

Sa Kaeo: Burapha Force announced adjustments to control measures at the Thai-Cambodian border crossing in Sa Kaeo Province to facilitate people based on humanitarian principles until the situation improves.

According to Thai News Agency, Lt. Col. Pawina Sribuachum, assistant spokesperson of the Royal Thai Army, revealed that the Royal Thai Army has implemented measures to control the opening and closing of all types of border crossings along the Thai-Cambodian border since 7 June 2025. These measures align with the security situation in the area under the responsibility of the Burapha Task Force in Sa Kaeo Province and the areas under the responsibility of the Suranaree Task Force in Ubon Ratchathani, Buriram, and Si Sa Ket Provinces. The Border Defense Force is tasked with providing assistance and facilitating people based on humanitarian principles.

Latest developments indicate that as of June 11, 2025, the Burapha Task Force has adjusted the control measures of permanent border crossings and trade relaxation points in the border area of Sa Kaeo Province to facilitate the public in line with the current situation. The Ban Khao Din permanent border crossing now operates from 08.00 to 16.00 hrs, allowing six-wheel trucks or more to pass with a limit of 70 vehicles per day for both inbound and outbound traffic. The Ban Nong Prue Trade Relaxation Point operates from 08.00 to 12.00 hrs with similar truck allowances and a limit of 30 vehicles per day. Meanwhile, the Ban Ta Phraya Trade Relaxation Point maintains its hours from 08.00 to 12.00 hrs but prohibits six-wheel trucks and above; necessary travel can be routed through the Thai-Cambodian Friendship Bridge (Ban Nong Eian).

Additionally, Cambodian students are now permitted to cross the border. They can pass through the permanent border crossing at Ban Khlong Luek and other specified points in the morning from 06.00 to 08.00 and in the evening from 17.00 to 18.00.

The Royal Thai Army will continue to closely monitor the situation and implement necessary measures to restrict entry and exit according to the security situation. They remain committed to facilitating people in the area on humanitarian grounds until the situation improves.
