Arrest Warrants Issued for Henchmen of Provincial Administrative Organization Member in Violent Debt Collection Case

Songkhla: Arrest warrants have been issued for three more members of the gang associated with Provincial Administrative Organization member Golf, following a violent incident where debtors were coerced into eating bullets. This gang, notorious for past offenses, including an assault on a police officer in Nathawi, is under scrutiny once again.

According to Thai News Agency, the Songkhla Provincial Court has released arrest warrants for Mr. Suebsat or Not, aged 31, Mr. Jakraphong or Jakkarom, aged 45, and Mr. Rapipong or On Roi Paet, aged 40. These individuals, part of Golf's gang, are accused of forcing Mr. Nattawut, a young debtor, to eat bullets in exchange for a reduction in his debt from 50,000 baht to 30,000 baht. Notably, Mr. Jakraphong and Mr. Rapipong were previously implicated in an attack on Border Patrol Police at a polling station on May 11.

The disturbing incident involving the coercion to eat bullets occurred at approximately 11 pm on December 11 last year. A video clip, which surfaced later, shows Mr. Kram being forced to ingest bullets as a means to reduce his debt. Following this, the gang seized motorcycles belonging to Mr. Kram and his father, along with 10,000 baht in cash, under the pretense of securing the debt. The gang then brutally attacked Mr. Kram, leaving him injured and too fearful to report the incident.

The video clip, originally posted by the gang to taunt law enforcement, led to the police's involvement. On May 25, the Provincial Police Region 9's investigation team tracked down Mr. Kram, who filed a complaint at the Hat Yai Police Station. They also encouraged Mr. Nikorn or Boss, another victim, to report his ordeal. On the night of the bullet-eating incident, the gang had stormed Boss's home, threatening to harm Kram's wife if he did not comply with their demands.

While the Songkhla Court has issued arrest warrants for all three suspects, Mr. Suebseth or Nott remains at large. Authorities are actively pursuing him. In contrast, Mr. Jakkrapong and Mr. Rapipong, already detained for their involvement in the polling station attack, will be held in Songkhla Prison before being transferred to the Bangkok Special Prison.

The gang's leader, Provincial Administrative Organization member Golf, has a history of violence against law enforcement. A previous incident in Nathawi District, Songkhla Province, involving an attack on a police officer, was reportedly resolved quietly, allowing it to escape public attention until now.
