Roi Et: An 80-year-old grandmother in the Roi Et province experienced a startling encounter when she discovered a snake slithering beneath her house. This unexpected event led her to jump away and cling to a beam, demonstrating strength and agility that surprised many.
According to Thai News Agency, Grandma Kankong, who resides in Ban Don Hat, Tambon Tha Muang, Amphoe Selaphum, was initially taken aback when she saw the snake. Despite normally having difficulty walking, her reaction to the slithering snake was swift and instinctive. The incident took place on June 2nd and has since captured the attention of the local community.
Mr. Temsak, a 26-year-old resident, captured the event on video and shared it on social media. He explained that a rattlesnake had made its way under a nearby house, causing alarm among the residents. Responding to the commotion, Mr. Temsak rushed to assist in capturing the snake.
Grandma Kankong recounted that she initially mistook the snake for an earthworm after glimpsing a small, quick tail several days prior. Upon realizing it was a rat snake, she sought help from the village headman. However, the headman, a woman, was hesitant to approach the snake, prompting a call to Mr. Temsak for assistance. Despite the snake slipping from her grasp, Grandma Kankong’s unexpected agility and bravery were noted by all present.
