Warning Issued to Over 40,000 Welfare Cardholders to Link PromptPay for 10,000 Baht Transfer.

Bangkok: Government spokesman Mr. Jirayu Huangsap has issued an urgent warning to over 40,000 state welfare cardholders and disabled individuals, urging them to link their PromptPay accounts to ensure receipt of a 10,000 baht transfer scheduled for December 19. This payment is part of the economic stimulus project for 2024. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Huangsap, speaking on the program "Sai Jak Jai Thai Khu Fa," highlighted the progress and challenges of the money transfer initiative. He revealed that 43,699 eligible recipients have not yet received their funds due to issues such as unlinked PromptPay accounts, inactive bank accounts, incorrect bank account numbers, and specific conditions tied to bank accounts. Mr. Huangsap appealed to the beneficiaries or their relatives to rectify these issues by December 19 to receive the funds in the third payment round, with only 20 days remaining to complete the necessary steps.
