Typhoon Trami, the sixth to hit the East Sea this year, made landfall in the central localities of Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang and Quang Nam at about 1 pm on October 27, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the maximum wind speed near the centre of the storm reached level 8 (62-74 km per hour), with gusts up to level 10.
