Bangkok: Thaksin Shinawatra, the former Prime Minister of Thailand, expressed indifference following a petition filed against him to the Constitutional Court. Amidst the ongoing criticism, Thaksin, currently hospitalized on the 14th floor of the Police General Hospital, humorously remarked about the situation, insisting that there was no cause for concern. He reiterated his indifference towards the petition and advised his daughter to remain calm, emphasizing his age as a factor in his composed response. According to Thai News Agency, Thaksin addressed the allegations while acknowledging the presence of six political parties at the Chan Song La house, clarifying their visit as a casual gathering for instant noodles. He further downplayed the potential implications of the petition to dissolve the Pheu Thai Party, stating confidence in the party's adherence to legal and traditional norms. Thaksin reassured that the coalition parties were functioning effectively and had recently collaborated on the Overlapping Claims Area (OCA) issue. Thaksin also responded to comments from Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth Temiyaves, who intended to act as a witness against him, by encouraging him to proceed as desired. He dismissed the actions of Mr. Thirayuth Suwannakasorn, who had filed a complaint regarding the matter, suggesting a mutual understanding of each party's objectives. Thaksin insisted there was no threat to coalition unity despite concerns over the three airports' electric trains contract. Regarding the sixth petition, Thaksin trivialized the claims, simply describing the gathering at Chan Song La house as a night indulging in "Mama noodles." When questioned about the Prime Minister's criticism, Thaksin described the attacks as typical behavior from a particular group, emphasizing his own resilience to such scrutiny. He concluded by praising the Prime Minister's capabilities, particularly her understanding of national affairs.
