Government House, The Prime Minister discussed with New World Development Company to expand business opportunities and support Thailand in organizing art and cultural festivals to promote intellectual property for art in the region. Mr. Sathit Thaveesin, Prime Minister, met with Mr. Adrian Cheng, Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of New World Development Co., Ltd. (NWD) and executives. The Prime Minister is confident that this meeting will be the first step of cooperation that will occur in the future. He is pleased that the company sees the potential for cooperation and investment in Thailand. The government and related agencies are willing to facilitate and consider the issues arising from the discussions, especially in trade and investment, and arts and culture (Art and Culture). In 2025, it is considered the year of Thai tourism. The Prime Minister believes that Thailand has the potential and readiness in terms of infrastructure, along with upgrading arts and culture, organizing world -class festivals, which will help attract tourists and increase economic value for the country. Mr. Adrian Cheng, Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of New World Development Co., Ltd. (NWD), said that the company is interested in investing in various dimensions to create business partnerships together in Asia, seeing Thailand's potential, such as in infrastructure, development of digital financial systems, support for the tourism sector through art and cultural festivals, and medical development, and both parties can be another channel to increase cooperation with other countries in the region. In terms of investment, the company is interested and ready to study for investment in Thailand, such as the development of infrastructure in Landbridge, digital finance, with an interest in Thailand's digital finance initiatives, including medical development. The company is interested in the production and distribution of products to advanced biotech companies in Thailand, which will be able to pro mote the medical tourism sector. The Prime Minister confirmed that Thailand has the potential and is ready to exchange experiences together to discuss the possibility of further joint investment, with the BOI being an important medium for coordination with the company. In terms of art and culture, the Prime Minister emphasized that organizing art and cultural festivals in Thailand creates value in terms of both intellectual property (IP) for Asian and regional art, and in terms of tourism for those interested around the world.
