EXAT and Ministry of Digital Economy Sign MOU to Enhance Easy Pass Data Exchange System

Bangkok: The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at developing an information exchange system for the Easy Pass automatic ticket services used by government agencies. This initiative seeks to advance government services towards a more digital framework, enhancing travel efficiency, automating work processes, and streamlining government expenditure disbursements. According to Thai News Agency, the MOU was signed by Mr. Surachet Laopoolsuk, Governor of EXAT, and Professor Wisit Wisitsora-at, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry's building in the Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary. The agreement focuses on improving the Easy Pass service data exchange system and is part of the broader goal to integrate digital technology into government operations. The signing ceremony was atten ded by key figures including Mr. Pitiya Thanawanitkul, Deputy Governor (Digital), and Mr. Thepparit Rattanapanyakorn, Director of Digital Division 1, alongside Ms. Piyanuch Wutthison, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, and Ms. Piyada Sudkangwan, Communications Advisor. The event was part of the Ministry's anniversary celebration, "9 Years of DE: Building the Digital Future," underscoring the importance of digital transformation in government services. This partnership represents a pivotal move towards utilizing digital infrastructure to enhance public service delivery. With the collaboration, EXAT aims to optimize the Easy Pass system to better cater to user requirements, aligning with government policies on digital infrastructure enhancement and data management for public benefit.
