The acting national police chief instructed all police officers to perform their duties with strength, focus on safety, follow tactics, and always be careful in order to be a source of safety for the people. Commanders are encouraging and ready to support their actions. Pol. Lt. Col. Rungroj then traveled to Songkhlanagarind Hospital, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, to visit and follow up on the condition of four Border Patrol Police officers who were injured in the bombing of a Border Patrol Police bus in Pattani Province on September 27 th while traveling back to their base in Chumphon Province. Currently, all four Border Patrol Police officers are safe, but still need to be closely monitored by doctors. 'The first case, Pol. Sgt. Nopphakhun Namsinthanasarn, squad leader of the 41st Border Patrol Police Regiment, was seriously injured. He had a laceration from shrapnel on the right side of his face, right shoulder, and both legs were broken. The doctor performed surgery to tie his jaw on the right cheek, inserted metal rods in the right arm and right leg, and put a soft cast on his left leg. His vital signs were normal. He was intubated and the doctor started him breathing exercises. 2. Pol. Sgt. Khachonphon Phetkun, squad leader of the 41st Border Patrol Police Regiment, was hit by shrapnel in the left knee. The patient is currently conscious, with a fractured left knee bone and an external metal rod supporting it. The swelling in his leg has decreased. He can take care of himself a little. 3. Pol. Sgt. Damroenyut Songpu, squad leader of the 41st Border Patrol Police Regiment, was hit by shrapnel in the right arm. He is currently able to walk and help himself. He underwent surgery to close the wound on his right arm. There were no complications after surgery. 4. Pol. Sgt. Suphawit Pongkaew, Commander of the 41st Border Patrol Police Unit, was hit by shrapnel on the right side of his head. He received 3 stitches. The wound is dry and conscious. He can walk and help himself. The acting commander of the Border Patrol Police Bureau gave money to boost morale, along with fruit baskets, and offered encouragement to the four police officers and their families. He also informed them that Pol. Gen. Kittirat expressed his concern and wished that all the injured officers would recover soon.
