The Royal Irrigation Department gradually increases the water discharge from the Chao Phraya Dam.

The Royal Irrigation Department is gradually increasing the amount of water released through the Chao Phraya Dam, warning that it may affect areas along the Chao Phraya River. The Royal Irrigation Department reported the water situation in the Chao Phraya Basin today (26 September) at 7:00 a.m. at Station C2, Mueang Nakhon Sawan District, the water flow rate was 1,846 cubic meters/second, with an upward trend. The water level rose 21 cm from yesterday, but is still 3.29 meters below the bank. At Station C13, Chao Phraya Dam, Chai Nat Province, the water flow rate was 1,498 cubic meters/second, with an upward trend. The water level at the end of the dam is 3.52 meters below the bank. Currently, there is continuous rain in the upper area, resulting in an increase in the amount of water flowing into the Chao Phraya River Basin. The Royal Irrigation Department has gradually adjusted the amount of water discharged through the Chao Phraya Dam to be consistent with the amount of water in the upper part and the ra in that has fallen during this period, which may affect areas along the banks of the Chao Phraya River/Mae Noi River, including risk areas in low-lying areas outside the embankment, such as Khlong Phong Pheng, Ang Thong Province, Khlong Bang Ban, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, Tambon Hua Wiang, Sena District, Tambon Lat Chit, Tambon Tha Din Daeng, Phak Hai District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province (Mae Noi River). In this regard, people living along the river and areas outside the embankment are asked to monitor the water level from the accumulated rain in the area and the amount of water from the upper part, which tends to increase continuously. If the water level increases and there is a need to adjust the water discharge through the Chao Phraya Dam, the Royal Irrigation Department will inform you accordingly. Source: Thai News Agency
