Livestock Officials Charge Animal Cruelty with Poisoning of Black Cat.

Bangkok: The Department of Livestock has formally lodged a complaint against the owner of a black cat, accusing them of animal cruelty in a case involving the drugging of the cat during the filming of a television drama. According to Thai News Agency, Veterinarian Chatchai Pratummalai, Director of the Animal Welfare Protection Group, along with officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and veterinarians, filed the complaint at Bang Pu Police Station in Samut Prakan Province. This action was taken following an incident involving a black cat allegedly poisoned during the production of a well-known TV series. Reporters from numerous news outlets were present at the police station, awaiting further details on the case. After the complaint was filed, officials from the Department of Livestock Development declined to provide any interviews or comments to the media. The police officer on duty confirmed that the cat owner is facing a single charge of animal cruelty at this initial stage of the inv estigation.
