Sisaket: Police are actively searching for the suspect responsible for the fatal shooting of an employee at an entertainment venue in Sisaket, witnessed by hundreds of patrons. The authorities are optimistic about apprehending the suspect soon.
According to Thai News Agency, the shooting occurred at 2:00 a.m. in Nong Ya Lat Subdistrict, Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province. A gunman opened fire without regard for the law, causing panic among over 100 tourists. The victim, Mr. Cherdsak, aged 40, was fatally shot in the stomach and left shoulder. Another individual, Mr. Sutat, aged 27, sustained a serious injury from a gunshot to the right leg, resulting in a fractured bone. He is currently receiving medical care at a local hospital. The incident unfolded as the venue was closing, following a dispute involving the shooter. The deceased, an employee of the venue, attempted to intervene, which may have escalated the conflict leading to the shooting.
The Kantharalak Police Station has launched an investigation, gathering evidence to track down the perpetrator. Preliminary media reports indicate that the police have identified the shooter, who is known to have a history of firearm-related activities. Authorities are in the process of collecting further evidence to issue an additional arrest warrant.
