Some tourist destinations open on second day of Eid in Jakarta

A number of tourist destinations in Jakarta will be open on the second day of Eid Al-Fitr to provide alternative holiday activities for residents, according to the mandate of Governor Regulation No. 63 of 2018 concerning Optimizing Activities and Handling Visitors at Tourist Places on Certain Days.

“With the operation of tourist attractions on the second day of Eid al-Fitr, it is expected to offer a choice for residents during the Lebaran holidays,” said Head of the Jakarta Province Tourism and Culture Office, Edy Junaedi, in a written statement in Central Jakarta on Monday.

All listed tourist destinations, in accordance with the regulation, will be closed on the first day of Eid al-Fitr, while opening on the second day of Eid Al-Fitr from 08.00 – 17.00 WIB.

Tourist destinations that have special operating hours during Lebaran holidays include Ragunan Wildlife Park, National Monument, Jakarta History Museum, Museum of Inscription and Museum Joang 45.

Other tourist destinations with special hours are the MH Museum, Thamrin, Puppet Museum, Textile Museum, Fine Arts and Ceramics Museum, Maritime Museum, Onrust Archaeological Park Museum, Si Pitung House Museum and Setu Babakan Betawi Cultural Village.

Additional sites include the Old City Area, Taman Ismail Marzuki Area, DKI Pavilion Taman Indah Indonesia Indah, Banteng Field and Proclamation Monument.

To enliven the atmosphere of Eid, several tourist destinations have prepared special attractions for residents.

The DKI Jakarta Pavilion Beautiful Indonesia Mini Park has prepared music and dance arts that can be enjoyed by visitors.

In addition, the Ancol Dreamland Taman Wisata also provides musical performances by famous artists.
