Representatives Council’s Bureau affirms solidarity with UAE

The Bureau of the Council of Representatives has affirmed its unequivocal support for Bahrain’s firm supportive stance towards the United Arab Emirates, and condemnation of the heinous attacks carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia on civilian facilities and installations in the UAE territories and targeting the lives of innocent people.

The bureau, which convened here today under the chairmanship of Speaker, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, lauded the fruitful outcomes of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to the UAE and meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

It praised HM the King’s assertion of the kingdom’s solidarity with the UAE in the face of everything that poses a threat to its sovereignty, security and stability, confirming the two countries’ deep-rooted fraternal relations and shared destiny, as well as emphasising Bahraini’s backing of the measures that the UAE deems necessary to counter the terrorist Houthi militia’s attacks, and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.

The bureau also asserted that the security of Bahrain and that of the UAE are indivisible, highlighting the importance of Arab and international parliamentary action to shed light on the dangers of the Houthi militia’s terrorism.

The Representatives Council’s Bureau also valued highly the directives of the Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to review and update the procedures for prayer in mosques and houses of worship, in a way that contributes to returning prayers to their normalcy while taking the necessary precautionary and preventive measures that enable worshipers to perform their worship and prayers with ease, stressing the importance of continuing social responsibility and effective cooperation with Team Bahrain to ensure the health and safety of all.

The bureau also reviewed a number of ministerial responses to parliamentary questions, parliamentary committee reports regarding draft laws and proposals, and decided to include them on the agenda of the upcoming parliament sessions.
