Seven tourism destinations in North Kayong District, West Kalimantan Province, are worth visiting along with family, friends, and relatives during the 2022 Eid al-Fitr holiday period.

One of the destinations is the renowned Datok Island Beach in Sukadana Sub-district that offers scenic views of the sea and hills. Visitors can rent a canoe, buy various snacks, and spend time in the playground.

Siti Jubaidah, a visitor at the beach, assessed that the destination has been popular among people during the 2022 Eid al-Fitr holidays since it is comfortable and clean.

“The visitors do not only come from Sukadana Sub-district, North Kayong District, but also Ketapang District. The beach is perfect to be visited during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday,” she stated at Sukadana Sub-district, on Tuesday.

The other attraction is the Pasir Mayang Beach that is famous for its beautiful white sandy beach.

Furthermore, visitors can explore the mangrove forest in Sukadana Sub-district where they can walk on a wooden bridge and enjoy the view of the shady mangrove trees.

Tourists can also visit the largest mosque in the district, Great Mosque of Osman Al-Khair, which is built floating at sea and surrounded by beautiful mountainous views, thereby making the mosque a popular religious tourism destination.

In addition, there is the Pauh Public Bathing, with a clear waterfall, located at the top of the mountain.

“Usually, after swimming at the Datok Island Beach with my children and family, I invite them to bathe in the Pauh Public Bathing since the water is very clear and the short distance between the two sites,” Jubaidah stated.

Right next to the public bathing is Pauh Hill that has a charming natural beauty. Other amenities are a comfortable swimming pool, restaurants, and lodgings for the visitors to stay.

Furthermore, Mount Sembilan located in Sembilan Mount Village offers scenic places for capturing pictures with rice fields in the backdrop.
