Trade Ministry offers a round-the-clock hotline service to monitor the one-price cooking oil policy’s implementation accessible to the public, Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi said.

“We are ready to assist all parties to ensure smooth implementation of the one-price packaged cooking oil policy. Please, if there are any problems or complaints, you can directly contact the hotline we have provided,” Lutfi noted in a statement here on Thursday.
The minister highlighted his keenness to seriously implement the policy of one-price packaged cooking oil at Rp14 thousand per liter.
All modern retailers in 34 provinces are being strictly monitored in order to ensure that they can implement as instructed, he affirmed.
If there are any complaints on prices that are not in accordance with the government’s policy, then the ministry will provide a special hotline for recording complaints, he stated.
The public can voice their on-field problems via the hotline provided, he stated.
Lutfi has ensured that the one-price packaged cooking oil policy is also being implemented in traditional markets.
Currently, the ministry has still given a week’s time since the implementation of the one-price packaged cooking oil policy on Wednesday (January 19, 2022) either in plastic or jerry can packages.
“The provision of one-price packaged cooking oil through retailers is the initial step. Thereafter, we will continue to ensure that packaged cooking oils priced at Rp14,000 per liter are available in traditional markets across Indonesia,” he noted.
He also lauded all parties for having supported implementation of the policy, right from producers to retailers, the Indonesian Retailers Association (Aprindo), the Indonesian Oil Palm Plantations Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), and other trade services across Indonesia as well as related ministries and institutions.
