Lamphun: Lamphun Warriors managed to secure a dramatic 2-2 draw against BG Pathum United in an intense Thai League football match held at the 700th Anniversary of Chiang Mai Stadium, where the Warriors played as the home team. The match saw Lamphun Warriors, ranked 11th in the league, host the 5th ranked BG Pathum United, known as "The Rabbit." According to Thai News Agency, the match began with Lamphun Warriors taking an early lead in the 13th minute, courtesy of Totsapol Lathet's precise header. However, BG Pathum United equalized in the 35th minute after the referee awarded them a penalty following a VAR review for a handball incident. Anan Yodsangwan and Teerasil Dangda combined efforts to convert the penalty, bringing the score to 1-1. The second half saw BG Pathum United push forward, with Hilhan Fandi scoring a header in the 63rd minute to put the visitors ahead 2-1. Lamphun Warriors, undeterred by the setback, fought back and found an equalizer in the 81st minute through an assist from Jefferson. Th e thrilling encounter concluded with both teams locked at 2-2, each earning a point. As a result of the draw, Lamphun Warriors have accumulated 13 points from 12 matches, placing them 12th in the standings. Meanwhile, BG Pathum United, with 19 points from 11 matches, now occupy the 4th position in the league.
