However, BG Pathum United equalized in the 35th minute after the referee awarded them a penalty following a VAR review for a handball incident. Anan Yodsangwan and Teerasil Dangda combined efforts to convert the penalty, bringing the score to 1-1. The second half saw BG Pathum United push forward, with Hilhan Fandi scoring a header in the 63rd minute to put the visitors ahead 2-1.
