Kazakhstan’s ruling party Nur Otan receives support of 82.15% of the vote at the parliamentary elections on Sunday, head of the country’s Central Elections Commission Kuandyk Turgankulov said on Monday, according to TASS News Agency.
The preliminary data from the Central Elections Commission is the Communist Party gained 7.14% of the vote, the Ak Zhol party – 7.18%, Birlik – 0.29%, the National Social-Democratic Party – 1.18%, Auyl – two percent.
The elections to the lower house of the parliament took place on Sunday, March 20. The Central Elections Commission reports the turnout at 9,840 polling stations in the country and 65 abroad was record – 77.1%.
