Jakarta Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has pinned high hopes on Indonesia bolstering its role in the region and globally through the G20 Summit.
Pandjaitan remarked that the G20 Summit was not only a showcase of Indonesia’s socio-economic progress but also presented an opportunity to introduce Indonesian culture to the world.
“As the host country for G20, we want to increase our global recognition, influence, and power. On the other hand, partner countries are also awaiting our role at the regional and global levels to increase,” the minister noted in a statement here, Saturday.
Indonesia becoming a host country in the G20 Presidency could play an important role in its post-pandemic recovery, he added.
