Head of Undip Social Anthropology Study Program Elected as Chair of the Indonesian Anthropology Association (AAI) for the Central Java Regional Committee for the 2021-2026 Period

The purpose of the Regional Deliberation of the Indonesian Anthropology Association (AAI) is to discuss policy lines and work programs as well as the management of AAI for Central Java Regional Management (Pengda) for the period 2021-2026. The Musda mechanism is guided by the Musda implementation guide issued by the Central AAI. This Musda has the theme of Digital Culture and Industrial Society: Challenges and Opportunities for AAI. This was conveyed by Prof. Dr. Nurdien H. Kistanto, Undip Anthropology Lecturer and Chair of the Steering Committee, at the Central Java Regional Government AAI Musda and Cultural Speech “Digital Culture in Industrial Society 4.0: Challenges and Opportunities for the Indonesian Anthropological Association” (2/10).

Representing the Governor of Central Java, H. Ganjar Pranowo SH. M.IP, Head of Central Java Communications and Informatics Service, Riena Retnaningrum, SH. delivered the Governor’s remarks with the title “Building a Digital Culture for Improving Community Welfare in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0”, which discussed, among other things, Literacy and Human Resource Development (HR). Quality human resources are the key to a high-income country, literacy plays a role in educating the nation’s life, presenting superior and quality human resources and literacy activities are not only interpreted as the ability to read and write but also solve problems, improve the quality of life and welfare. Building a digital culture, infrastructure must be prepared starting from regulations, finance, devices, human resources, and data. Starting from those that are really useful for the public such as the economy, pandemic info, etc. Literacy must be intense and continuous, prevent misuse of digital media such as hoaxes, fraud, etc.

On this occasion, the Head of the Undip Anthropology Study Program, Dr. Amirudin was elected as Chair of the Indonesian Anthropology Association for the Central Java Regional Committee for the period 2021 – 2026. According to him, the theme of the Musda is relevant considering the development of society that has reached the atmosphere of industrial society 4.0, which has implications for changes in the reproduction of human resources, changes in the way of analyzing, and changes in the way of researching culture. .
