East Jakarta Administration has been selected to win the Adipura urban forest award from the Environment Ministry.

According to Budi Mulyanto, Head of East Jakarta Environment Sub-department, it is awarded over the assessment of the Environment and Forestry Ministry last year.

“We’ll work hard and do the best to win again,” said East Jakarta Environment Sub-department Head, Budi Mulyanto, Wednesday (1/16).

It is slated to invite related ministries to explore existing shortcomings for better improvement.

East Jakarta Forestry Sub-department Head, Romi Sidharta added that East Jakarta has 13 urban forests. Among them are Buperta Cibubur, Rawa Dongkal, Munjul, Setu, Cipayung, Dukuh, and Halim Perdanakusuma.

“Prior assessment stage, we just give the data on the number of urban forest. And surely it runs privately, as we don’t know which forests will be assessed,” he uttered.
