Court Orders Confiscation of Tesla for Traffic Violation, Driver Sentenced and Fined.

Bangkok: The Dusit Provincial Court has ordered the confiscation of a Tesla vehicle involved in a traffic violation on the expressway. The vehicle's driver, Mr. Pitipat, received a one-month prison sentence, a 5,000 baht fine, and had his driver's license suspended for six months. According to Thai News Agency, the prosecutor from the Office of the Attorney General, Division 3, Provincial Court, filed a lawsuit against Mr. Pitipat for driving his Tesla in a manner that cut off other vehicles. The defendant confessed to all charges, leading the court to reduce his sentence by half. Despite the prison sentence being suspended for one year, Mr. Pitipat was placed on probation for the same duration. Under the terms of his probation, Mr. Pitipat must report to a probation officer four times and complete 12 hours of community service as deemed appropriate by the officer. The court's decision also mandates the confiscation of the Tesla used during the incident. Failure to pay the fine will result in further legal action in accordance with the Criminal Code, Sections 29 and 30.
