City To Develop 10 New Vocational Schools

Sooner or later, around 10 new public vocational schools (SMKN) will be constructed in the capital.

Jakarta Education Department Acting Head, Bowo Irianto disclosed, from 590 units of SMK, 6 out of them are belong to the government and the rest are belong to the private.

“The construction itself is in line with regional strategic activities and SMK revitalization programs in the capital,” he expressed, Friday (1/18).

This project will use single years scheme. “Hopefully we can have a contract in early May,” he stated.

Aside that, around 137 schools are also slated to be renovated this year.

“Rp 2.3 trillion will be spent to realize them,” he said.
