Blast rocks Turkey’s Diyarbakir; death toll rises to 6

20:37 (GMT+4) Turkish armed forces have launched a large-scale operation against the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) terrorist group following the explosion in Turkish Diyarbakir city, CNN Turk TV channel reported.

Reportedly, three Turkish ministers: Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz, Minister of Environment and Urban Planning Fatma Guldemet Sari and Minister of Culture and Tourism Mahir Unal were in Diyarbakir today.

20:11 (GMT+4) The death toll as a result of the explosion in Turkish city of Diyarbakir rose to six, Haber 7 TV channel reported.

The blast has injured 23.

19:38 (GMT +4) Four policemen were killed as a result of the explosion in Turkish city of Diyarbakir, Haberturk TV channel reports.

19:13 (GMT +4) A blast occurred near a bus station in Turkish city of Diyarbakir, the Haberturk TV channel reported March 31. Reportedly, at least seven people were injured in the explosion.

Witnesses said that an explosive device caused the blast. Ambulances have been dispatched to the incident scene.
