Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Indonesia Jalal Mirzayev’s visit to the Belitung district, Bangka Belitung, on March 28–31, 2022, will open new cooperation and investment opportunities in the region, a government official has said.
“We expect that this working visit will produce new cooperation opportunities,” the district regional secretariat’s assistant of the general administration department, Ita Wahyuni, said in Tanjung Pandan, Belitung, on Friday.
Belitung has a lot of potential for cooperation and investment opportunities in the farming, agriculture, fisheries, and tourism sectors, she added.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador’s visit to Belitung will provide a golden opportunity for the sector authority to introduce and promote the district’s potential, she said.
“We hope the ambassador’s working visit will make Belitung more renowned in the international community, particularly in Azerbaijan and its neighboring countries,” the assistant remarked.
She affirmed that the district authority will focus on preparing all aspects necessary to welcome and cater to Ambassador Mirzayev’s requirements, as well as creating a positive impression on the Ambassador during his visit to the region.
“We will make efforts to ensure the ambassador will be catered with best service from his arrival to the district until his departure,” Wahyuni said.
The itinerary prepared for the ambassador includes a visit to local enterprises and MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises), tourism attractions, and island-hopping in Lengkuas Island waters, she added.
The locations that Mirzayev is scheduled to visit include a pepper farm and cooperative enterprise in Kacang Butor village, Rimba Alam Bahagia tourism attraction in Badau region, Peramun Hill in Sijuk region, Belitung Geopark Information Centre, and an MSME cooperatives gallery, she informed.
“We hope the ambassador will be impressed (with Belitung district) during his working visit to Belitung,” Wahyuni said.
